Harmonia Early Learning
Harmonia Early Learning is a music-based educational programme developed by Simon McCullough to support language development, classroom routines, and curriculum engagement through song.
The programme is designed for Early Years and Primary learners, using original music and structured routines to help children develop English language comprehension, speaking confidence, and classroom participation. Through carefully designed songs and musical activities, Harmonia Early Learning aims to make daily learning experiences more engaging while reinforcing key educational concepts.
The programme incorporates music into a wide range of classroom situations including morning routines, transitions, assemblies, classroom topics, performances, and school productions. By combining rhythm, repetition, and storytelling, the approach supports young learners in building confidence in language while also encouraging creativity and participation.
Harmonia Early Learning is being developed in collaboration with musician and producer Matt Ruel, whose experience within the brass band and music production community brings additional creative expertise to the project. Together they are developing a library of songs and musical resources designed to support teachers in delivering engaging and memorable learning experiences.
The project commenced in 2026 and is currently in active development, with the aim of completing the first full programme by June 2027. The long-term goal is to pilot the programme in international schools across Asia, gathering feedback from teachers and students to refine the resources and expand the programme.
Harmonia Early Learning reflects Simon’s belief that music can play a powerful role in supporting early language development, classroom engagement, and joyful learning experiences.
